District Academic Coordinator
Shan serves as the District Academic Coordinator for Yamunanagar district, overseeing the implementation of the NIPUN Haryana Mission. His responsibilities include a range of tasks such as teacher training, classroom observations, demonstrations, and fostering stakeholder participation through DPIU, BPIU, and CPIU meetings.
Shan holds a master’s degree in Development from Azim Premji University, Bangalore, and an undergraduate degree in Geography from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. With over 5 years of experience, he specialises in various areas including teacher training, foundational literacy and numeracy, and technology-enhanced learning from primary to higher secondary levels. Additionally, he has expertise in TPD, data analysis, research, and documentation.
In his previous roles, Shan made significant contributions as a Research Assistant at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, an Expert Counselor at Nirmaan Organization, and a Program Officer at KKM Trust. These experiences honed his skills in data analysis, research, stakeholder management, and teacher professional development, leveraging Ed-tech tools such as OER and CLIx resources.
Shan has also played a pivotal role in designing educational initiatives and fostering collaborations with organisations like JP Morgan & Chase’s Force for Good and the Government of Chhattisgarh for Modular Courses aimed at secondary and higher secondary teachers.
Beyond his professional endeavours, Shan has a keen interest in exploring technology tools to enhance learning in the education domain. During his leisure time, he enjoys engaging in activities such as poetry, music, cycling, and cultural exploration.
