Block Academic Coordinator
Deepak Sah, originally from Chamoli district in Uttarakhand, embarked on his journey with non-governmental organisations through street plays in 1999. With the support of Plan India, he conducted training sessions for adolescent peers nationwide on five media tools. Collaborating with various organisations across different states, he successfully coordinated participation and child protection programs in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand from November 2010 to June 2015. Encouraged by educators from Bodh Shiksha in Rajasthan, Deepak ventured into education-focused organisations.
From June 2015 to March 2022, Deepak’s contributions to the Room to Read organisation extended to supporting schools in Haridwar and Chamoli, facilitating training, and promoting the use of teaching and learning materials. He actively engaged in formulating strategies to enhance children’s learning outcomes and teacher capacities by fostering collaboration with stakeholders at the district and block levels. During his tenure with the Language and Learning Foundation from February 2020 to March 2022, Deepak focused on language teaching in Yamunanagar’s Chacharauli block. Notably, he spearheaded the Home Schooling Program at the community level during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the assistance of volunteers under the early language teaching initiative.
Subsequently, from May 2022 to July 2023, Deepak served as a coordinator in Babain block of Kurukshetra district. Continuing his impactful journey, he assumed the role of district academic coordinator in Block Shahabad and Babain from August 2023 onwards. In these capacities, Deepak has refined his skills, developed strategies, fostered effective coordination at the district level, and conducted training to improve children’s learning experiences and empower teachers. Leveraging his extensive experience, Deepak strives to enhance regular learning for children and elevate the capabilities of educators.
