Alimuddin Khan has almost 25 years of experience, focusing on Elementary Education, Systemic strengthening, teacher/teacher educator development, and material development. His core areas of expertise include Teacher and teacher educator development, mentoring various stakeholders and groups from the school education department, instructional design, material development, and working as a trainer. He has extensive experience in teacher development, liaising with government bodies (DPO, DIET, and SCERT) & Education organisations, conceptualising and conducting trainings/workshops for teachers and teacher educators, developing content for out-of-school children, training modules, and IEC materials, as well as evaluation & documentation.
Currently, Alimuddin is working as a State academic lead in FLN Project Haryana. His key role involves leading the academic aspect of the FLN Project in Haryana from LLF’s side, coordinating with government bodies (HSSPP, SCERT, and State-level groups), mentoring state academic cell members and demo project team members, and focusing on building the capacity of the project team, State academic cell, State/District resource groups, and teacher educators (BRPs, ABRCs, SCERT, and DIET faculties) in the state. The program aims to strengthen support structures to ensure quality implementation of the FLN Project (Literacy) in the State, with direct intervention in all government primary schools in Haryana.
Before joining LLF, Alimuddin worked with “CARE India” as a technical person in an out-of-school children’s and early literacy project. In CARE India, his key role involved mentoring and building the capacity of the project team and government teachers, volunteers, and teacher educators (KRPs, RPs, SCERT, and DIET faculties) in the state, with a focus on strengthening support structures to ensure quality education, particularly for marginalised communities.
Alimuddin has been working as an education specialist for almost five years, initially as a freelancer, and then with associations with CARE India in UP. During his freelance tenure, he was associated with several organisations (Digantar, Vishakha, Room to Read, NEG FIRE, etc.) working in the education sector. His strengths lie in Lesson planning, pedagogy, curriculum development & revision, and training/workshop & material development.
