Akanksha Tyagi
Project Coordinator, Teaching-Learning Process Study
Akanksha Tyagi brings ten years of experience in various domains of education development, primarily in teacher training, classroom observations, and the development of resource material for foundation classes. Her journey began ten years ago with Eklavya and Muskaan (part-time), where she built awareness and sensitivity about the lack of learning opportunities and the learning gaps in marginalised communities. Over the years, developing contextual material and teacher training opportunities became her interest and forte
For the past two years, her participation in studies and research has provided a new perspective, allowing her to weave together all her learnings from course mentoring, teacher training, and classroom observations.
Academically, Akanksha pursued a degree in commerce and a postgraduate degree in journalism from Pune University. She had a short stint of six years in journalism, during which she enjoyed interviewing Indian and international classical maestros and watching them create magic live. She also wrote bylines for a “weekly travel page” for a year, which she found adventurous.
As much as she loves to write, she admits to only writing her to-do list and including “reading” in her daily plan. Balancing reading and writing beyond her work routine remains a challenge. Akanksha’s interest in travelling in and around nature with some background music keeps her going.
