Mr. Ramawatar Gurjar from Thanagazi, Alwar ( Rajasthan). He had around 15 years work experience in elementary education domain in development sector. He is Masters in Hindi (2005) and B.Ed (2008). Before that he worked with Bodh Shiksha Samiti, Alwar and Gramin Shiksha Kendra, Sawai Madhopur and Aide-et-action, Bhopal and ‘Revisiting Schooling Pvt Ltd’, Alwar, Rajasthan (Full-time; Consultant), an education start-up. He worked in various capacities such as teacher, resource teacher, project coordinator and consultant and have gathered more than 15 years of experience in development sector in the area of elementary education in leading schools / project implementation and teachers’ training. Teachers’ training, content-development, pedagogy of Language (Hindi), CCE, Project implementation have been core elements of my profiles. Presently I am working as Block Coordinator with LLF.
Mr. Harish Sharma has more than 15 yeses’ experience in Elementary Education. During last 15 years, in his professional career, he has work with different organization like T.V.N.S.S. School, city Sunrise School, Digantar, Room to Read India Trust. He work various post like Teacher, Coordinator Literacy Coach, in School and field in Elementary Education and also involved Teacher Training, Child centered community development work, participated in and contributed to the development of the Strategic planning process, And materials development .He Academic Qualification M.A, B.Ed. He like Reading, Craft, Drama, curiosity and eagerness to learn anything especially language, Travelling. Presently He works as Block Coordinator, Kurukshtra, Haryana in Language and Learning Foundation.
Mr. Jitendra kumar sharma working as block coordinator for Language and Learning Foundation at Thanesar ( Haryana). He has mor then 7 th years experience in elementary education. His last engagement with Room to Read India Trust as a Literacy Coach . He Focused his Smooth functioning of Literacy Programme in 7 th Govt. Schools with fruitful Outcomes.He has Supported Literacy related training and matarial devlopment workshop.He has Two years Research in Identify reason of drop out children in elementary education. He has worked with different organization like Center for Education & Research Practice and Room to Read India Trust . He has good report writing and data analysis skill. he Pursued Bachelor in Education (B.ed).
Mr. Dharamveer Singh Is working with LLF as block coordinator kurukshetra(Haryana). he is from Haridwar (Uttrakhand). He is postgraduate in Hindi with special b.ed (mental retardation) . he has been associate primary education is since last 7 years of experience in Hindi. Prior to this, he has teached at a private school. He worked as a tutor in the girls' education program for one year. worked with Room to Read as a literary coach, in School and field in Elementary Education and also involved Teacher Training, Child centered community development work, participated in and contributed to the development of the Strategic planning process, And materials development .He likes Reading,writing,travelling and listen to song.
Mr. Ompal Dumoliya has over 18 years of experience in the field of Education. From the April 2018 he is associated with Language and Learning Foundation. He is District Coordinator for Kurukshetra ( Haryana). Project focused on State resource Group and District Resource Group capacity building and implementing early Literacy in 176 schools in Kurukshetra district to improve classroom practices and improved learning outcome of the children by the capacity building of the teachers. He has worked as a Resource Person (education Leadership Management) with Azim premji Foundation, Programme Leader with Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership, Block Coordinator with Digantar & Ibtada, He has Coordinate various education project in Rajasthan and work together with the government (Monitoring, Capacity building workshops and facilitators in the trainings) He holds a Master’s degree in Sociology.
Mr. Durga Prasad (Project Manager Haryana) Durga Prasad has over 17 years of experience in the field of Education. From the November 2017 he is associated with Language and Learning Foundation. He is project Manager for Haryana. Project focused on State resource Group and District Resource Group capacity building and implementing early Literacy in 176 schools in Kurukshetra district to improve classroom practices and improved learning outcome of the children by the capacity building of the teachers. He has worked as a Program Officer with Aga Khan Foundation, Programme Manager with Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership, Associate Project Coordinator with Bodh Shiksha Samiti, and Teacher Trainer with Gramin Shiksha Kendra. He has first-hand experience of classroom pedagogy, Content Development, Teacher Training and implementing Primary and Upper primary intervention programs in both Government and NGO sector. He has worked on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation pilot project in Rajasthan with partnership of UNICEF, Sarve Shiksha Abhyan and Bodh Shiksha Samiti. He has managed various education programs in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh. He has developed various assessment tools and processes, Teaching and learning materials, Monitoring Systems, Training Module for the programmes. Mr. Alimuddin Khan is working as a State academic coordinator (Haryana) for Language and Learning Foundation. He has been working in elementary education sector for the last 18 years. His last engagement was with CARE India as an Education Resource center member, He Provided technical support to several states education team, government teachers and education department towards training, workshops and material development. Deign action researches and capacity building project team. Prior to that he has worked with different organizations like Digantar, Vishakha, NEG Fire, CARE India and Room to Read India trust. He has Provided Technical support/coordinated in various field projects and resource centers in Elementary Education. His key strengths in developing training modules for teachers/Educators, Resource Persons, coordinators and worked as Resource Persons in training. He was also involved in curriculum designing, teaching learning material and text books development for Language, Social study and Early Grade Reading. He holds a Master in Sociology, bachelor’s degree in education and Library science
Ms. Mairaj has joined Language and Learning Foundation in 2017 as a Programme Associate. Prior to this she has worked with PAIRVI as Programme Coordinator. She has more than 6 years’ experience of communication, documentation, advocacy in social sector. Her educational qualifications includes P.G Dip. In Development and Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia and Masters of Social Work (MSW) from IGNOU. Her areas of interest include human rights, sustainable development and creative communication.
Mr. Pankaj Singh Kushwaha is working as Admin Associate with Language and Learning Foundation. He has 6 years of working experience in the field of office administration. He has worked with several national and International organizations viz Nextbyte Technologies Pvt Ltd, Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group and Childfund. His educational background includes a B.Com followed by Diploma in Office Administration.
Mr. Jainith Rao Jonah has 19 years of experience in the development sector. In the past he has worked for 9 years at the grassroot level in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh in integrated child development project of Child Fund India. Prior to working in LLF, he worked in Chhattisgarh state office of Room to Read India Trust as Senior Program Officer for nearly 10 years. He has demonstrated expertise in planning & budgeting, community engagement, partnership management, strategic planning and documentation. He has done his post-graduation in sociology and graduation in science. Apart from this he hold the certificate in Prarambhik Bhasha Shikshan from the “Language and Learning Foundation’.
Ms. Akanksha Tyagi works as a mentor in the Language and Learning Foundation. She has more than six years of experience in education. Most of her experience is in the multilingual education, literacy, community engagement and documentation. Prior education, she has six years of experience in journalism. After studying across nine states, interest began in learning different languages and about different cultures which helped in learning reading and writing in four different languages. Her post graduation is from Pune University. Being a traveller and a constant learner is the forever stage.
Swati Gandhi has been working in the field of education for the last 5 years. She has been mentor for long term course and various short term courses in LLF for the past one-and-a-half year. Her journey in education began with Pratham Education Foundation, where she worked for more than three years in research and development, curriculum development and teacher-training. Her trainings were designed to help support teachers in understanding balanced literacy approach. She has a keen interest in early literacy. Swati did her Masters in Sociology from Delhi School of Economics, D.U.
Nidhi Qazi has been working in the field for education for the last three –and-a-half years as a facilitator. In LLF, she joined as mentor for the long-term course and is now engaged in various state projects on multilingualism and early literacy. Before joining LLF, she worked with Heritage School, Vasant Kunj as drama and language facilitator and as Research Associate in the MLE Programme with Eklavya, Bhopal. She completed her Masters from TISS, Mumbai and feels passionate about language-teaching, drama in education, teaching as facilitating.
Shveta has over 12 years of experience in the field of Education. For the last two and a half year she is associated with LLF. She was the Mentor for the 9 month ELL course for the two batches. At present she is the Course Coordinator of the various courses (Long Term and Short Term courses) that are run by LLF. She has worked as a Program Coordinator and Teacher Trainer with an Educational Research based organisation NEEV for over 10 years. She has first-hand experience of designing and implementing research based intervention programs in both Government and Private Schools. She has developed various learning and training materials, assessment items and assessment tools for elementary classes. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Education and Master’s degree in English Literature and Education.
Mr. Sunil Bagwan is working as a programme Manager-Literacy for Language and Learning Foundation. He has been working in elementary education sector for the last 15 years. His last engagement was with Azim Premji Foundation as a Language Resource Person, he focused his work on developing curriculum, course material for pre-service and In-service teacher education programs and capacity building of internal team as well teacher educators, academic support to SCERT, DIETs and other TEIs. Prior to that he worked with organizations like Digantar, Lokmitra, and Muskaan. A social work graduate, Sunil pursued his M. Phil on process of education attainment of slum children in Bhopal. Later he pursued Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.). Sunil has been voluntary association with Chakmak Club Satwas (Eklavya), Kabir Jan Vikas Samooh and Pahachan during his school and university days. He writes regularly on various magazine on social processes of education and other pertinent issues.
Dr. Dhir Jhingran is the Founder Director of Language and Learning Foundation. He has worked in the primary education sector for over two decades, within and outside the government. As an officer of the Indian Administrative Service, he served as Principal Secretary, Education with the Government of Assam and as Director in the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Mission Director of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan as well as the District Primary Education Programme. In addition, he has handled several other profiles, such as Senior Advisor to UNICEF India, Asia Regional Director and Chief Program Officer with Room to Read and Country Director, TESS India. He has made significant contributions to the development and implementation of early grade reading programs in several countries in Asia and Africa and several states in India. Dr. Jhingran has authored two books based on empirical researches in primary education that he conducted and has contributed to many books and journals.
Mr. Mahendra Kumar served as the state coordinator for Tribal Education in District Primary Education Programme ( DPEP) and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan ( SSA) from 1993- 2010 under School Education Department , Govt. of Odisha where he developed India’s first state sector programme for multilingual education (MLE) in 10 tribal languages. His major work on Odisha folklore is Visioning Folklore ( 2002) Saora Tales and Songs (2005) Oral Epics of Kalahandi (2007) Oral poetry of Kalahandi (2008). He has also compiled Folktales of Odisha (NBT, New Delhi). He visited universities in China, South Korea, Thailand and Nepal on Folklore and Multilingual Education. Dr Mishra received the Sahitya Academy Award in 1999 in Odisha.He is a member of Expert Advisory Committee in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. As a Founding Trustee of LLF, Dr. Mishra will be providing his leadership and guidance to the MLE work.
Mr. Sushant Verma is a Trustee of LLF. He has got over nineteen years of intensive experience in managing social development programs, especially in rural development in education, teacher education, public health, livelihood promotion, community development, disaster management, relief and rehabilitation, skill development, corporate social responsibility and women’s empowerment. Currently, he is the Country Director of TESS India/Open University UK. He has also served at senior management levels in reputed Multilateral/bilateral, international and national humanitarian and funding agencies, such as USAID, World Bank, Christian Children’s Fund Inc (CCF), Heifer International, Action Aid/Commonwealth Education Fund UK, PHRN, etc., along with exposure to rigorous grassroots level interventions. He has been awarded various National and International awards for his outstanding contribution in the field of community initiatives, especially focused on youth and rural development. He is a nominee of MHRD Government of India for JRM Teacher Education. He has to his credit a MBA (Rural Development) with specialization in Women and Child development.
Mr. Uddalak Datta is a Trustee and over-sees the Operations of LLF. He has been working in the field of elementary education for more than two decades - both for government programs and for non-profit sector- across India. Since his departure from Room to Read, where he worked as the Country Director in 2009, he has been doing independent consulting work, based in Delhi. Mr. Datta’s focus has been predominantly on quality of education with emphasis on issues of disadvantaged communities - particularly the tribal, linguistically marginalized and urban deprived groups - through strategic planning, capacity building and research initiatives. Development of supplementary reading material and environment education are also his interest areas. Being a Post-graduate in Cultural Anthropology, Mr. Datta keenly follows and thinks on issues emerging from contemporary change processes like globalization; particularly the relationships between language, education and identity. He is currently pursuing research for a PhD in Gauhati University on the subject Role of Education in Manifestation of Identity in Multi-lingual Situation.
Mr. Ajay Gupta has more than 15 years’ experience in Elementary Education. During last 15 years, in his professional career, he has worked with different organizations like Digantar, Vidya Bhawan Society, Room to Read India trust, and SRTT. He has coordinated various field projects in Elementary Education, and was also involved in developing training modules for teachers, Resource Persons, coordinators and also worked as Resource Persons in training. He was also involved in curriculum designing, teaching learning material and text books development for Language and Early Grade Reading. Presently He is working as Project Manager with LLF.
Ms. Pooja Tanwar is working as Programme Associate with Language and Learning Foundation. She has 4 years of working experience in the field of Research, planning, and implementing the various programmatic and sponsorship activities at field level. She has worked with several national and International organizations viz V V Giri National Labour Institute, Action India, Children International and Childfund. Her educational background includes a BA Economics Honors followed by Master’s Degree in Labour and Development.
Mr. Prakash Chandra Arya is working as Office Assistant for Language and Learning Foundation. He has 5 years of work experience and has worked with several organizations like Competition Commission of India, Titan India Ltd. Prakash has done his schooling from Uttarakhand.
